# 10
“Kyuhyun-shi.”
hearing his name being called, Kyuhyun looks around to find the person
who is calling for him. He then sees Ha Nee not far away from him.
“Ha Nee-shi. What’s up?”
“Do you have some time?”
“Huh? Why?”
“I have something to talk with you. Are you free right now?”
“Oh, yes, I am. Let’s sit there and talk.” he said, pointing at an unoccupied bench.
“Okay, what is it?” Kyuhyun ask when Ha Nee didn’t say anything even after they sat on the chair.
“Hurm…how should I say this?”
Kyuhyun look at the girl. She sounds more like she’s talking to herself compare to talking to him.
‘Wait, is she trying to confess to me?’ he thinks.
“Actually, I need your help.” she suddenly said.
“Help? What kind of help?” he ask her.
“Err…actually, Soo Il’s birthday is coming soon. To be precise, it’s this Monday. A week from today.”
“And?”
“ I wasn’t able to celebrate it with her last year, so I’m planning on having a small party to celebrate it with her this year.”
“And you’re asking me to join in?”
“Err..kind
of. You’ve become her bestfriend. So I think it’s okay to invite you
too. The two of us won’t be able to finish the cake alone.”
“Okay. I’m on. I’ll bring Jungsoo hyung too. He’ll be happy to be there.”
“Jungsoo oppa too? Great.”
“Jungsoo oppa? You call him oppa?”
“Yup. What’s wrong with that?” Ha Nee ask, confused.
“Are you two that close already for you to call him oppa?”
“We
have been working together for a month, and it has been awhile now
since I know him, Kyuhyun-shi. Plus, he’s older than me, of course I
have to call him oppa. What is so wrong about that?” she reasoned.
“Then, why didn’t you call me oppa? I’m older than you too.” he ask, unsatisfied.
“By five months.” Ha Nee said.
“Huh? You know?” Kyuhyun was surprised.
“Soo Il told me. She’s trying to match us. You didn’t know that?”
“She
did? Haha..never knew.” remembering what Jungsoo said to him before, he
laugh. He thought Jungsoo is just playing on him. That girl really is
something. Suddenly, he thought of something. A smile created on his
face.
“Ha Nee-shi, want a payback?”
“Huh?
How?” she ask, confused by the sudden question. Looking at Kyuhyun’s
smile, she knew the guy is planning something. Something not really
good, based on the smile he pasted on.

Jungsoo’s POV
I was playing randomly with the piano when Kyuhyun enter the room.
“Hyung.” Kyuhyun called.
“Erm…” I answer, still playing with the piano.
“What are you doing?” he asks.
“Playing the piano, obviously.”
“Can’t
you play properly instead of playing randomly like that? There’s more
important thing to do than just playing a random piece like this.”
I look up at him. Did something happen?
“Why? Did something happen?” I verbalize my thought.
Kyuhyun
let out a smile. Is that a winning smile? So I guess it wasn’t that
important. It just him playing around. I look back at the piano and
focused on the key again.
“Hyung!” I heard Kyuhyun protest.
“What?” I look at him again.
“You’ll thank me when you hear what I’m going to tell you.”
“So just tell me already. Are you sure you’re not playing around with me?”
“Very sure.” he answers.
“So, what is it?” I ask, paying full attention on him.
“It’s Soo Il birthday this coming Monday.”
Looking at his proud smile, I really don’t want to say this but,
“I know.”
“You know?” he ask, surprised.
“ I know.” I repeat. He looks at me. Not really satisfied with the outcome I guess.
“Then shouldn’t you have to prepare her a present for her birthday? It’s Soo Il, hyung.” he said, stressing Soo Il’s name.
“Of course I should prepare her one.” I said.
“Then what are you doing here, playing around? It’s only a week left, hyung.” he said, still feeling unsatisfied I think.
“I am preparing, Kyu-ah.” I said, and laugh at him lightly.
“Huh?”
again, he looks surprised, and maybe a bit confused. Looking at me,
then looking at the piano, I guess he finally got the idea.
“You’re going to give her a song? Seriously?” I nod at him as an answer. With that answer, he let out a small laugh.
“You really are something, hyung.” he chuckle.
“Anyway, fighting. I hope you can finish the piece before this Monday.” he add.
“Thanks, Kyu.” I smile to him, thankfully.
“Should I help you with it?” he suddenly ask.
“No, it’s okay. I’ve already half-way done. Thanks for offering the help, anyway.”
“Okay
then. I don’t want to disturb you anymore. Fighting, hyung. Oh, by the
way, we will have a birthday celebration for her this Monday evening at
six. I’ll tell you the place later.”
“Okay.” I replied, and with that, he leaves the room.
