Ha
Nee keep eyeing her friend who suddenly become so quiet the moment they
enter the library. It’s normal to see Soo Il become all silent when
they’re in a library but something is different today. She can’t grab
what was it, but it is different. She wants to ask her what is wrong but
remembering where they are, she just hold it inside her. She’ll just
ask her later.
“Are you done yet, Ha Nee?” Soo Il sudden question shocked her. Hiding her stare before, she answers her.
“Err..yup...got mine.”
“Lets go then.”
‘She seems normal.’ Ha Nee think.
Walking to the counter, she can see Soo Il looking left and right, like she’s looking for someone.
‘Or maybe not that normal.’ Ha Nee thinks back.
“Are you looking for someone?” she finally asks.
“Huh? Oh, no...No, I’m not.” Soo Il replied.
“Really?” ask Ha Nee, doubting. “Cause you looks like you are.” She added.
Still eyeing Soo Il, something pop-up in her mind.
“Oh
my god. Don’t tell me you’re looking for him. You fall for him too,
don’t you? Just like I said, you’ll like him, and his dimple.” Ha Nee’s
smile reach her ears, but not for Soo Il. Shocked by Ha Nee’s words, she
said,
“Him? Him who?”
“Don’t try to fool me, Soo Il-ah. You’re looking for him, right? The new librarian.”
“The new librarian? Oh, he was the one you’re talking about? No, I’m not looking for him, Ha Nee. If I am, what for? I don’t even know him.” Soo Il try to act dumb.
“The new librarian? Oh, he was the one you’re talking about? No, I’m not looking for him, Ha Nee. If I am, what for? I don’t even know him.” Soo Il try to act dumb.
Ha Nee still inspecting Soo Il’s expressionless face and finally give up. Maybe she’s just thinking too much, she decides.
“Yeah,
I think so. You’re not the type to look for a guy just to see their
pretty face. There’s no reason for you to look for him.”
‘I do have the reason, Ha Nee. So that I can run from him,’ Soo Il said in her head.
They
finally reach the counter. Soo Il put the book she borrow from the
library last week and a new book taken from the library shelf on the
counter. Done with the process, she head out of the library. Ha Nee is
already waiting for her outside.
“Where’s your book?” taking her bag, she ask Ha Nee when she sees nothing in her hand.
Letting out a sneaky smile, Ha Nee answers her.
“I didn’t take any. I didn’t found the one I want.”
“I
should have known you better, Ha Nee. I should have known from the
start why you want to come with me today.” Soo Il said, rolling her
eyes.
“Heheh...but, speaking of him, where is he? He’s not around for nearly a week already.”
“Speaking of him? I didn’t even ‘speak’ about him. Wait, how did you know he wasn’t here for days already?”
“I’ve
got my own way, friend. He got his own circle of fans and that’s how I
got the info. They’re going crazy about not seeing him for a week.”
“They’re already crazy by being his fan.” Soo Il said nonchalantly.
“That’s a bit harsh, my dear friend. But, anyway, they won’t have to worry anymore, I guess...”
Soo
Il look at Ha Nee to ask her what did she mean by that. But there’s no
need for her to ask since Ha Nee already look at her, smiling, and
pointed to the far end of the library’s hallway.
“He’s back.” Ha Nee add to her unfinished words before.
Knowing there’s no way she can escape from walking passes him, she tried to act calm.
‘He might not even remember you, Soo Il.’ She said to herself.
“Kim Soo Il-shi.”
‘And he’s actually not.” think Soo Il, disappointed.
Soo Il look at her left and she can see those bulging eyes.
“So, we met again,” she heard the guy in front of her said.
“Yeah, and how I wish we didn’t.” She can hear him laugh, lightly, at her reply.
“As always. That sounds like you.”
“As always. That sounds like you.”
“Of
course it sounds like me when it is me talking. And don’t act like you
know me well, cause you don’t.” She got a pinch from Ha Nee for that.
He chuckle and look at her before turning to Ha Nee.
“Looks like your friend here doesn’t like me that much,” he smile and looking back at Soo Il, he add,
“I have to go for now. Hope to see you again later.” And with that smile he leaves the girls.
